On Thursday, May 9th, several of our students had work displayed in Chowan Arts Council's annual Student Art Show. From CMS, the participants were Reagan Atkinson, Skylar Roughton, and Reagan Phelps. From CHS, the participants were Emma Fogler, Samantha Sandoval Simental, Destiny Harrison, and Jeslyn Vo. Mr. John Beaumont, Art teacher of CMS & CHS, recieved lots of complements on our student's work, and felt that our students compared favorably with the great amount of talent on display there.
We have a couple of winners to congratulate! From CMS, Reagan Atkinson received the President's Choice honorable mention award, and received a certificate. In the High School category, Samantha placed 2nd overall and received a cash award.
