Mrs. Jennifer Westcott

As a middle school counselor, I work with students individually, in small groups and in classes to guide them towards personal success. I really enjoy working with students and helping them resolve their academic and personal issues. Also, I assist students with planning their high school course selections and exploring career options. I meet with students and their parents who are seeking information about preparing for high school and college. I have additional responsibilities, which include 504 Chair and serving on the AIG committee for the middle school. Also, I am the Program Coordinator for the Tyrrell County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council which means that I work with students who are at risk or already adjudicated and serving probation or a diversion plan. For two years, I have been one of the advisors for the Student Council; the club organizes pep rallies, spirit weeks, schoolwide community service events and school dances . Parents who would like to discuss concerns about their child's academic or personal success may call me, email me or come by my office at the school to speak with me.
